Bring Your Parent/Carer to School Day!
On Wednesday 20th November, we held our first ever "bring your parent/carer to school day", providing families with a unique opportunity to experience school life together!
The day featured a variety of engaging activities designed to foster a stronger school-home connection. Parents and carers were invited to join their children in a range of workshops, including:
Forest School Fun: Students and their parents ventured into the school grounds, exploring the natural environment through hands-on activities.
Cooking: Families worked together to prepare flapjacks in our newly refurbished school kitchen.
Creativity: Students worked with their parents to create patchwork turtles, following a pattern and sewing the pieces together.
The event received positive feedback from both parents and students. "It was a fantastic session" shared one parent. She added, "My husband and I loved it. Our son loved it too and gave us both a massive hug at the end of it. He loved that we made something together and that we were together with him in the school environment."
We hope to continue hosting similar events in the future, recognising the importance of strong school-home partnerships in supporting student growth and well-being.
