An Introduction to St Catherine’s Post-19

St Catherine’s Post-19 Provision offers bespoke packages of residential support, therapy and educational programmes for young adults with speech, language and communication needs. This service is aimed at young adults who have the capacity and ability  to live independently within the local community (with support) and who require some additional specialist support and guidance in order to achieve their aspirations. Our therapy and residential support teams work in harmony with local educational providers to ensure the best education and residential experience for each young adult.

Access to education within our Post-19 Provision is currently provided by the Isle of Wight College, HTP Apprenticeship College or by Platform One Music College, supported by our therapy and residential support staff. We have a strong and productive working relationship with these external institutions and staff regularly liaise with each other as to the best ways to support our young adults.

The ethos of the Post-19 provision is to promote life skills and independence of our young adults. We take a holistic approach to tailoring support and educational packages, working in close partnership with our experienced therapy team to enable students to thrive and achieve positive outcomes.

Our expectation of the young adults is that they will engage with enthusiasm and commitment with our Post-19 team. We would like our young adults to seize every learning opportunity to maximise reaching their goals, potential and aspirations.

We are dedicated and passionate about our students achieving their dreams.
